The inspiration for Road of Smiles (film)

On our first day in Zhengzhou we met an 11-month old orphan called Jin Hao.

He was abandoned by his parents when he was barely a month old and is now cared for by the wonderful people at Eagles Wings Orphanage in Jiaozuo, Henan Province.

We were so touched by his story and his character that we stayed with him through his life changing experience.

Zu Beginn meines Artikels erscheint es mir sinnvoll, den in der Überschrift erwähnten und doch sehr bürokratisch anmutenden Begriff "Internally Displaced Persons" (IDPs, dt.: Binnenflüchtlinge oder intern Vertriebene) etwas näher zu erläutern...

"Intern Vertrieben sind Personen, die gewaltsam aus ihrer angestammten und rechtmäßigen Heimat vertrieben wurden, bei ihrer Flucht – im Unterschied zu Flüchtlingen im rechtlichen Sinn – keine Staatsgrenze überschritten haben und im eigenen Land verblieben sind.

Snowboarding- @ Yunding Chongli


This winter season in Beijing, I snowboarded so far at 6 resorts: Huaibei, Yuyang, Yunju, Yunding, Wanlong, Duolemeidi. Tips and my comments/introduction will be posted soon.

My First Red Bull competition was held at the newly built resort Yunding in Chongli, a city 5 hours drive from Beijing. Yunding Resort has the best slopes for snowboarding.
